Condensate Neutralizer Ceramic Ball

图片
I、Research Background Gas boiler, furnace and gas hot water heater will produce condensate water. It is acidic and will corrode cast iron soil pipe, equipment and sewer system. Especially condensate water discharging to a waste drain, it will corrode underground supply water system and result in lead and cadmium exceeded in water supply, also will damage water delivery system and make incalculable loss.  USA, Canada, UK and most countries made strict restrictions to condensate water, it must be neutralized before drain. These countries generally use Calcium Carbonate, Magnesium Oxide and such to neutralize condensate water. China generally use condensate recycling equipment, or use neutralization amine or organic pH regulators. Comparatively, use inorganic mineral media is more eco-friendly to neutralize condensate water.  Chart 1 Comparison of Condensate Neutralizer Ceramic Ball with other neutralize media Comparison             Item MPH+  Condensate Neut

Neutralizing Condensate in Condensing Boilers and Hot Water Heaters

With the growth of high efficiency condensing boilers, furnaces and hot water heaters, the installation of a condensate neutralizer is now a mandatory requirement. What is Condensate? High efficiency condensing boilers and hot water heaters extract additional BTUs form the water vapor in the flue gas. When the gas drops below 130°F, it starts to condense and produces an acidic liquid which has the potential to cause damage to your piping, drains and other system components. When your boiler or hot water heater is operating in full condensing mode, approximately one gallon of condensate gets created for every 100,000 BTUs of input. So if your system runs for 1,200 hours each year, it will produce 1,200 gallons of condensate! The acidic level of the condensate is measured in pH on a scale from 0 to 14. Most condensate will have a pH between 2.9 and 4 with 7 being neutral. This scale is not linear; each step below 7 is 10 times more acidic than the next higher number. Treated c

Condensate Neutralizers FAQ

1、Condensate Neutralizers - Are they necessary? YES - Even if you are not currently required by law to have one. Typical condensate from a condensing boiler has a PH level of 3.2 to 4.5, which is acidic enough to leave stains, kill shrubs, and eat away cast iron drainage systems. In fact, in some municipalities, condensate neutralizers are required by lay when draining condensate into home plumbing systems. Condensate production can be estimated based on one gallon per hour for every 100,000 BTUs of input, so you need to ensure that the size of your neutralizer is correct. Condensate neutralizers contain calcium carbonate chips which need to be replaced at the beginning of each heating season. We do offer refill kits for your maintenance. 2、Who needs a neutralizer? Any home or business owner with a high efficiency furnace or boiler condensing system 3、Am I required by law to have a neutralizer? As of fall 1994, condensate neutralizers were required by government
